They said flooding was a once off 50 year event. God showed us He is beyond time and space by bringing the flood countless times thereafter.

They said water tax necessary due to scarcity, God showed that with Him we will never be thirsty again. Nice rain and cool weather.

They said CPF interest to tie to govt bond rates cos it's better for members. God brought interest to zero and negative, they had to maintain that 2.5 and 4 percent indefinitely.

Before they next wanna say anything twisted, I hope they sincerely give heart and deep thoughts. Surely the signs are there that God is watching and knows the heart... Repent as an old wise once said. Likewise his followers should give thoughts to the word repent...

Trust & Respect must be earned.

You can talk until the cows come home, but if you cannot prove what you say and show us the results, you better SHUT UP.

To earn the trust of the people, just as previous leaders have done, each generation of Singapore's leaders needs to be upfront, accountable and find new ways to communicate with people, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Chan Chun Sing said on Thursday (Jan 11).

To win this trust, leaders have to first be upfront with people, and help Singaporeans understand the issues at stake and the trade-offs involved in policy considerations - spending more time on the "why" rather than the "what" and "how", said Mr Chan.

Second, in a fast-paced digital age where a diversity of views can be accessed at one's fingertips, leaders must keep finding new ways to communicate with different generations. "If we do this well, we will harness the collective power of our thinking and actions.

"Third, leaders must be accountable and responsible. "That means making good on our promises," said Mr Chan. "And when there are problems, we work hard to put things right immediately."

He needs to response to the presidential re-election proposal to prove he understands & being truthful of what he is expressing to the crowd.........

If he can't lead by example,  he is just being a "news" broadcaster in front of that crowd.........

If in 2018, M'sia were to elect Dr M to become next PM while PAP appointed CS Chan as Singapore next PM, and both of them meet during Asian meetings at Shangri la. Singapore.

What will the 2 neighbours' newly elected PMs, meet for the first time in 2018 will discuss?

Maybe Dr M will sing "twinkle twinkle little star" and

then follow by,...  "
三只老虎 "  to CS Chan

Reason why no paper general directors or CEO are sacked is cuz we have a paper general as commander-in-chief. Now by some power, the next commander-in-chief is another paper general  [Image: thinking.gif] Look like a lot of forces are in work to push this guy up. And Desmond Quek will only step down when he see fit  [Image: laughing.gif]
