Responding to questions on the seizure of the Singapore Armed Forces' Terrex armoured vehicles by Hong Kong customs, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said Singapore will not allow any single issue to hijack its relationship with China.

Our foreign minister says in this forum that we want to follow the law and let the law take it courses. But the tactic we used in retrieving the armoured vehicles conveniently omit the part where we have or our appointed agent has failed to submit the proper application prior calling the port of Hong Kong.

The host utter a word "really?" when foreign minister said that this armoured vehicles incident does not affect the relationship with China. Very interesting exchange there.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong unaware Hong Kong is China

It is not about his ignorance of Hong Kong status, but merely trying to create issues with his recognition of the one China policy.

Which resulted the Chinese to have reiterated or remind us on the one China policy message over and over again. If indeed as reported that our PM has written the letter for the return of our armoured vehicles more than a month ago. When he was supposedly written to the Chinese.
This guy pointed out two serious points that China requires Singapore to explain before the terrex can be release.
1. The cargo entered HK Special zone without proper declaration.
2. SIngapore promised China in 2001 to break.military training in Taiwan when diplomatic ties were established and recognising the one China policy. Up till now Singapore has not done so. When asked why China did nothing on this issue since 2001, the reply is China is weak at those time.and now China is strong enough to tackle.this issue with a declining Singapore.
This guy also said that Singapore is acting stupid and gave blur reasons to deviate from the main points.

If this guy is correct, it means that China is not giving Singapore any options. Either we stop training in Taiwan or forget about the terrex. They have not use breaking doplomatic relations as an option yet but I believe that would be the next step if we continue to act blur.
Our Mr. Hen got his International Law to protect him lah!
