Sad thing is this culture of "tekan" has not change all these years. In the name of instilling discipline and "character building", these regulars unfortunately get the hang of doing these to their men. I think this lots have very low self esteem and I suspect the only place they get "respect" is through bossing around and terrorizing their men in camp.

In their mindless pursuit to satisfy their ego, they jeopardize the lives of young men unnecessarily. It is sad that parents send their son into the army only to lost them to this type of stupid regime.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts...

How to see army officer in public? Most don't even wear uniform when they leave camp.
I'm an average Singaporean man with a Thai wife!

If he is your army officer of course can recognise him.

I think it’s funny when people treat you like a crap
Get offended when you finally do the same to them

Those bad eggs will probably dare not wear in public when book out.
Fearing he might get beaten up.
Lots of bad eggs in the camp.

Let karma teach those bad badstard officers a lesson when time is up.

My friend a commando, his officer a kind of siao soldier.
Always tekan people.
Never tekan, life very miserable.
He retired and heard from my friend said he dare not meet stranger or walk past them.
Fearing he might get beaten up.
He develops kind of inner fear if being bash up by those people he tekan.
That is karma.
Retribution.
He now lives a miserable live.
Dare not go outside. Hid in his house.

I will never respect them.
Curse them.
They are the cause of our son's suffering inside the camp.

There is a saying: how do you create a needle out of a block of steel?

Obviously this is not an easy task. Same for a person. How do you mold a young and impressionable boy into a man of substance?

Not an easy task as well. It takes a lot of training, both mentally and physically to turn the boy into a man. Training we will need but we must bear in mind SAFETY in all these trainings.

Who think that by behaving like an ostrich and all our or the world’s problems will go away?
