First International Airlines, SIA Breaking Hongkong Arrivals Policy.

If a passenger onboard an aircraft carrying COVID-19 fails to comply with pandemic control measures.
When an airline carries more than five COVID-19-positive passengers.

In this recent case involving Singapore Airlines, the South China Morning Post reports that the ban was implemented after one passenger on a Singapore Airlines flight arriving in Hong Kong tested positive for the virus. Additionally, three passengers failed to comply with pandemic control measures.

The Hongkong authority imposed 2 weeks ban on SIA is just more or less a slap on the wrist.

Looks like the 4 are transit passengers. Their pre-departure tests show negative. The 3 are likely due to the recognition of the testing centre.

Maybe SIA CEO is going to put the blame on Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung for jumping the gun, saying that the aviation and covid19 environment is not ripe for bubble travel as yet.

Its too late now as Hongkong authority imposed 2 weeks ban has left SIA 's reputation tarnished.

Who is responsible?

Can other SIA SQ882 passengers collectively seek legal action against SIA and Changi Airport jointly for negligence?

For causing stress and were traumatised.
