Now very hard to get a clear picture as too much noises from so many directions like pro-China, anti-China, angmo propaganda, Chinese propaganda, hanjian propaganda and many rubbish. Staying sideline and watch until smoke clears........ Thinking

actually there are only 2 grps lah, amk + hjs is one, and the rest.

its like one grp pro pmd, another against it. those so called neutral are just temporary until they get hit.

SINGAPORE: Gadget supplier iPassion Group has been fined S$50,000 for selling unregistered personal mobility device (PMD) charging adaptors and ...

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/sin...e-11981864

BAN IT NOW !!! WE MEAN NOW !!!

Anyone found guilty of selling unregistered controlled goods could be fined up to S$10,000, jailed for up to two years or both.

Fine only, no jail?
Can Minister Shanmugam say he's "surprised" by the sentence so that AGC will lodge an appeal for a deterrent jail sentence for the owner(s) and director(s) of the company?

Else these companies will just make profits (50k fine is no problem to these recalcitrant companies) and continue to sell devices & adapters that can cause fire leading to injuries and deaths.

Every other day we hear disastrous and negative stories relating to PMD, isn't this a clear sign that these devices bring only pain and hardship to society ????

Please BAN totally all PMDs before more unpleasant incidents take place in SG.

Unlikely they will ban, they want to secure the votes of the younger generation.

Today's Straits Times reported another fire in a HDB flat caused by a pmd. A baby girl* was sent to hospital. In another incident, an oversized pmd hit someone just outside a hdb lift.

The baby girl* is living in the unit upstairs and she is in hospital for smoke installation.

News also interviewed a resident living below the unit on fire and this resident's unit downstairs is flooded because the water from putting out the fire leaked to her unit.

We cannot even feel safe in our own homes now because I don't know whether our neighbors have compliant PMDs and charging them properly.

We live in dense HDB blocks (not landed property) and a fire in one unit will affect all the surrounding units and the block.
