Nth wave This is because the PAP successfully ring fenced the virus. As soon as the dorm had a massive outbreak, the government sprang into action. Though we are a small country with not much land, we improvised...EXPO, army camps, disused schools, hotels, cruise ships, and we brought the Wuhan virus under control. I hate to sound like I am blaming the FWs but in their country, things....the situation is very bad and it is for Modi to tackle the problem. PM Lee and his team can only tackle the problem in Singapore. Allowing us to remove our mask when eating was a calculated measure that was obviously closely watched. The government was striking a balance between allowing us to return to some semblance of Singaporean life (eating was/is our national past time) and not letting an outbreak to occur. But bars and pubs were a no-no. When we later opened up a little, some ang mohs flouted the rules, and we fined them 9696 and sent them packing...out they go! Out of Singapore! 88. Try doing that in ang moh countries...they are protesting against lockdowns in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden. Merkel had to withdraw and take the blame....she must be secretly wishing that Germans were as cooperative as Singaporeans, and full of envy for PM Lee having such obedient people to govern.
