China's encroachment into HK may end in tragedy...

The problem maybe due to this. Election Committee has been criticised for its "small-circle" electoral basis and its composition favouring pro-Beijing and business interests.

This results in change in HK freedom and housing problem.
Beware of PRC 50 cents in the Forum that undermine Singapore Sovereignty

The real rats are the communists ...

Why are you still doing business with the so called "communist", by buying their goods and selling it in Singapore?

Business wise, the Chinese are more capitalistic than any other nation on earth.

He gives us how PLA will set foot in Hong kong.

No other country in the world would have shown such forbearance in the face of foreign-sponsored rioting destruction and sabotage of the national economy as China has. If in the days to come China’s patience runs out, it will not be before time so far as the great majority of Chinese citizens, including Hong Kong citizens, are concerned.
Mainland chinese and Hong kong citizens will ask Xi to step in.

Future of HK has to depend on the next generation. But it's unfortunate that what they see is only despair and a bleak future with all the violence and threat from a govt that was not elected by the people. A govt that is a puppet of China. HK and China are people of different history and culture. But now they are force to be integrated as one. We Singaporean are not them so how can we be telling them what to do. Mai ke kiang ok.

But leaders are chosen by Beijing instead of the Hong Kong people.

Eventually will lead to a rule by force situation as with all situations where the principle of suffrage is violated.

By denying suffrage is to enforce suppression...

No tragedy. Stop yr f$#king nonsense.

Protestors will ONLY lose out. thumbs up thumbs up

What’s wrong with communist? Even chao angmo also think says the following:
https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articl...democratic
But democratizing China as a whole? It is important for Westerners to step out of their bubbles and consider exactly why so many Chinese are simply not looking in that direction.

Hong Konger bites the hand that feeds it..... without China support, you think Hong Kong can prosper? Without China’s power/water/tourist, what will happen to Hong Kong?
