For once, just once, I will show you my actual earnings to clear any and all doubts once and for all. This is my gross earnings driving from 7 am till 9.30 am on Thurs, followed by 6 p.m till 11 pm. That's a total of 7.5 hours of driving for Thursday. On Fri morning, yesterday, I drove from 7 am till 9.30 am, followed by 6 pm till 2 a.m. That's a total of 10.5 hours of driving for Fri. In total, I drove 18 hours and earned a gross of $608. That's an average of $33 gross per hour.

If you deduct away my daily rental of $99 and my diesel costs of $80. My net earning is only $608-$278 = $330. The average net earnings per hour are only $18 per hour. On average we earn $1 for every km traveled but in my case, I was using the taxi to run some errands on both days.

There you have it, folks, the truth is finally out! My earning performance is your typical average performance of the average cabby. No cabby in SG is going to challenge or dispute my figures because they all know that this is the industry average.
