Think you have not got it right. The video is showing that these people are driving their cars to pick up free food. There are always poor people around and look at them, they drive big cars and stay comfortably in bungalow house.

don't like to keep teaching but there is a need to clarify some mistakes and to stop presentation of nonsense.

There is one reliable indicator that one can tell the severity of food crisis.. that is the food inflation index. If a country is short of food, the food price will rise as everyone will have to eat no matter how the food will cost.

The food inflation in China has risen from -5% in 2017 to peak at +22% in Jan 2020 and now around 15%. If you look at the food inflation in US, it was -0.2% in 2017, peak recently at around +3.5%. Which country is more desperate for food?

But they will surely catch up. Wouldn't be surprised if SMIC (together with its partners) is able to further improve to produce 7nm chips by next year.

Catch up? China have been pouring billions in semi can over the last twenty years. Plus stealing technology and hiring disgruntled taiwanese engineers. But till date, they can only produce 14nm with very poor yields.

Simple econs....firms will gravitate to a place where they can maximise their profits...in this case, china with its huge potential mkt of billions.

Huawei will never die, can always rely on its domestic mkt for support.
Thry r down badly now but with the next pous, things might change for the better...

China can produce 2nm with very good yields lately.

Huawei will leapt higher using their own chips

Back in 2014, the central govt set up the China National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund.
The goal: help China become self-sufficient in chips that are used by the country’s vast manufacturing supply chain.

This fund is so low profile that it does not have its own website. It hidden hand is leading the national effort to catch up in the global semiconductor industry by raising funds and backing semiconductor start-ups and research and development.
