KUALA LUMPUR — Johor Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar has asked former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad to keep his nose out of matters related to the southern state including the “Bangsa Johor” (Johorean) concept used to rally its people.

Dr Mahathir’s antagonism towards world leaders had put Malaysia “in a spot” in the past, the Sultan was reported by The Star as saying on Thursday (Aug 25) in a scathing response to the former prime minister’s remarks on Wednesday. Dr Mahathir said such notions promoting affinity to individuals states over the country will divide Malaysians.

“He has quarreled with many world leaders, including with our neighbour Singapore, and put Malaysia in a spot,” said the Sultan. “And now he talks about unity with an incredible straight face. Tun Mahathir is the root cause of the present problems in the country. He has no right to interfere in my state. I will not tolerate his antics.

Johor most likely will breakaway first, followed by sabah and sarawak. They all envy brunei
yes...Sabah and Sarawak can see no benefit staying within "Malaysia" - based on what they seen in Brunei and SG over last 55 years.

If breakaway, we have goldmines
Provided Johor separation be done peacefully...E.g via referendum.
Else Dr M is going to crack down on the "separatist".. This will be a worst case scenario which SG may get dragged into.

It is estimated that more than 450,000 people enter and exit Singapore from Johor via both border crossings on a daily basis.
In return, Singaporeans frequently flock to Johor in the thousands during weekends and holidays in search of bargain shopping, cheaper entertainment and food.
The sultan must be nervous. Any mishap will see practically all crossings becoming useless.
We can open again our floodgate. Our shops will once cater to our needs.
Singapore elders can be reemployed into those left by the Malaysians. Our scientists will helps with rearing fishes in cages over the water.
We will expand our fishery ports to all fishermen of the world.
Hens will lay eggs in multi-stories. Vegetables will employ state of the art in lighting requirement evn on coveyer belts. Nutrients will be precisely monitored.

The Johore king/crown prince, are pragmatic people, they know what is good for their state, but Dr Madhatter is intruding into their affairs, and it anger them. If Johore state were to go independent, and have good relations with Singapore then both Johore and Singapore has many benefits which is reciprocated..........that will be a win-win situation.........
