Cambodia PM Hun Sen accused Singapore indeed contributed to the massacre of Cambodian people.

This is a very serious accusation from the Cambodian leader, an Asian member of Singapore involving in Khmer Rouge massacre of more than 1,700,000 Cambodian people in 1978.

Is this true or false?

Collectively, ASEAN provide aids to the Khmer resistance movement, of which the Khmer Rouge is one of the factions, only after Vietnam had invaded Cambodia and not before. That was after 1979. When did the genocide occurred in Cambodia?

There is no blunder. But the hard truth is sometimes difficult to swallow. Anyway, that is history and we should move forward rather than backward.

Can anyone here enightened our young Singaporeans and future generations how come our aid of US$ 242 mio in todays value had contributed to the Killing fields of 1.7 mio people?

Since we remain silent, Where are the missing links?

The genocide in Cambodia occurs from 1975 to 1978 but ASEAN provide aids to the Cambodian resistance movement opposed to Vietnam’s invasion and occupation of Cambodia only after 1979.

So answer yourself. Is it possible?

genocidal horrors of Khmer Rouge with re-enactments at ‘Day of Anger’
20 May 2019

Hundred gathered at the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ site in Phnom Penh to commemorate the 2 million people killed by Pol Pot’s murderous regime.

The Day of Remembrance, more commonly called the “Day of Anger” in Cambodia, is held at the Choeung Ek “Killing Fields”, where some 15,000 people were confined and sent to their deaths between 1975 and 1979.

Day of Anger on 20 May 2019

Why coincide the speech with Cambodian remenbrance of Killing fields on 20 May 2019?

It does not seen ethical and responsible.
Too sensitive that Hun Sen called it an insult.
