The videos which were leaked out, despite the CCP's best efforts to hide them, was a reason for the fear. That was early last year...people were shown falling to the ground like a card, or lying on the road...nobody dared to go near the corpse...or screaming in a damp and dank Chinese hospital corridor (beds were fully occupied...not that lying in a bed meant that you could be treated either...doctors were at their wit's end and didn't know what to do)

When the CCP took the extreme measure of closing the borders of Wuhan, then neighbouring cities, and finally an entire province, the world knew it was no simple flu but a serious thing. Then a cruise...Princess Diana....had a whole ship of people getting it...South Korea...Japan...all soon followed.

And it spread to Italy...the UK...India...USA...Brazil and everywhere.

So the whole of humanity panicked and started locking down...I think we can add that to another of China's contributions to the world which include: paper, silk, wheelbarrow, ice cream, noodles, Wuhan virus and "lockdown"
