I think its partly cos the 3.5L Hyundai Azeera didn't sell too well as compared to pre-taxi 2L sonata which was a huge hit here

If you follow korean serials on tv, you will notice most actors/actresses drives the Genesis and Grandeur models. The CEOs drives foreign cars such as the high end Merc ,Bentleys.
