If it still prolong, then the next step will further cut by another 10%....
At least SIA can retain their staff....and not let them go and become jobless.

Personally, I dont really like early retirement.
It means there will be no salary anymore.
But then, early retirement will get how many months of compensation?

Early retirement is different from golden Hand shake right?
So, usually golden hanD shake compensate 12 months.
But early retirement might be less then 12 months? Anyone want to verify this?

Unless one is already planning for retirement and children already big and working and one dont really need to work anymore.

Or maybe the next next step , another 10% cut, till to a point where perm need to convert to contract...

That is to hold on to their staff and dont let them go jobless.

If now is not the opportunity to trim off excess & rejuvenate, then when?

Many ways to hold on their staff, it is whether management and managers want or dont want.
