When trading of SemMarine shares were halted at 85 cts right before announcement of 5 to 1 rights issue
sgbuffett still holding his piles of end state SembMarine which he averaged down from $1.80 to $1.20
sgbuffett's losses were to big for him to swallow and he was caught with his pants down when price crashed below $1
He bought his largest piles of SembMarine shares at around $1.20, about $200,000 based on his brags as he posted his purchases thinking he sure to make money but got fcuked big time

If you look at sembmarine/ sembcorp history these cycles are like high tide and low tide. The maim thing is not to allow low tide to kill you ..eventually the cycle turns.
The bottom will be borne out by extreme pessimism layoffs and a sense that there is no hope.
Recoveries can be very rapid hence most investors will miss out.

However some of the problems with the cyclical strategy is low interest rates and easy money means competitors dont die fast enough during down turn to bring about a strong recovery ..

Roughly how long after results for it to hit 11.3cts?
Results was out this morning.

29.21 cts book net asset value as at 31Dec2020 derived from $3,696,147,000 net asset is MEANINGLESS and MISLEADING for a loss making company with $4,114,919,000 in non-current asset spent on Property, Plant & Equipment
Because the capital expenditures ($4,114,919,000) spent on Plant/Equipment can never be recovered, worth scrap iron when a debt laden CONTRACTOR (SembMarine) with a dwindling order book is unable to generate profits to repay maturing debt

they will sell assets and become EV(electric vehicle) business arm of SCI...issue another $1bllion rights shares...Temasek backed...Price will soar to $1.00.. no share consolidation needed...

FY2020 net Finance Cost about $90 million from the massive interests bearing debts
Which fund would invest in an unprofitable CONTRACTOR that has to pay about $90 million in NET interests a year?
