Basing on TCB's mandate to review the CECA if "elected", is he hinting his party or oppositions intends to take over the PAP govt and he being elected as PM? I think he has to be PM to be able to.call a review of CECA. If just being an MP of an opposition ward he may not have the power....... Thinking

Call to review mah...
Call can be unanswered but at least he calls.. Smile

Fame, as they say, is fickle. It may take years to reap it and, when you do, you may not have the time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Already near 80s.

Speaking about job priority for Singaporeans, he said that the CECA threatens jobs for Singaporeans and leaves Singaporeans vulnerable.

“PSP will call for a review of the India-Singapore Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA). This agreement was negotiated by our current DPM Heng Swee Keat and signed in 2005. Among the terms, CECA, allowed the free movement of professionals in 127 sectors to enter and work in Singapore.”

DPM Heng is widely-expected to take over the leadership of the PAP and be appointed as Singapore’s next Prime Minister once current PM, Lee Hsien Loong, steps down.

Dr Tan added that the government must be more transparent with the public about the benefits of the agreement.

the person who negotiate for singapore is too keen to get the job done and has not consider enough for the people below him. in a way he sold singapore away.
