People today is so fortunate... tv is so cheap!!!

During the year 1970’s.... the ratio of 1 TV is share amount 40-100 people... every night, many people will gather at community center to watch B&W television.... I was 1 of them!!

Today, the ratio is 4 TV per person..... Living TV, Bedroom TV, IPad, iPhone, and some even got a tv in the bathroom!!

The world has change fast.... nailbite

buy a branded non-smart tv from sony, philips, lg... and a tv box.

the total cost is less than xiaomi tv.

One cannot find a non-smart TV nowadays. All TV has a CPU with RAM and ROM. It is a matter of whether it is has a ethernet connection. ethernet circuit is just a small part of the smart TV and most larger size TV will include them.

Take 32" TV, the cheapest Philips without ethernet is around $220/= and it is an HD and not even a UHD TV. If one were to add a smart set top box costing another $90/=, it would definitely cost more than Xiaomi. 4K TV Take 43" TV 4K, Philips cost around $570 as compare to xiaomi that cost around $ 440. Philips does not have non-smart TV in larger size TV.

BTW, Philips TV are also manufactured in China. suffer the same problem.

Dumb TV plus TV box is best because you can keep upgrading the TV box

Dumb TV plus TV box would cost much more than Xiaomi 4k TV. Also One cannot find nowadays a dumb TV above 43". Furthermore, the picture and sound quality of set top box might not be as good as Xiaomi TV. I have a xiaomi 55" TV4 with AC Ryan 4K set top box from M1. xiaomi beats AC Ryan in playing youtube movie in terms of picture and sound quality. BTW, AC Ryan is one of the top class in set top box, still fetching a price of more than $150/=.

The problem is not whether it is made in china, but the support carried by the brand.

ac ryan charged you a very high price, but it is one of the worst tv boxes. see the complaints in HWZ.

when you compared to tortoise, anything also can run faster.
